Very accommodating!

"The hosts of this lovely Inn were very hospitable and welcoming. We had planned on driving straight through to Montreal but a mishap put us hours behind. Taking a gamble and hoping to find a spot in Montpelier to spend the night proved harder than we thought. Thank God we came across this beautiful Inn. Breakfast was all organic, homemade and delicious. It put us in a fabulous mood to continue our vacation the next day"

A warm and inviting stay.

"This was our first B&B experience and did not know what to expect. Ann Marie and Joe are excellent hosts with extensive knowledge of the area. We had lovely conversations each morning over some of the best breakfasts that I have had in years. Our room was the on the third floor. It was private and quiet with its own bathroom. We had plenty of space to put our belongings. It was clean and comfortable. Be warned.

This suite does require some careful maneuvering from the sitting area to the bedroom or you will bang your head. The view from the back of the inn is wonderful. All that being said, Ann Marie and Joe are what make the Inn. They take pride in their home and work. They welcome you in as family, and suggest things to do and places to eat. It was a warm and inviting stay."

Hospitality at its best!

"This was our second visit to the High Hill Inn and by far one of our favorites places to stay. The hospitality is second to none where as soon as you get there you’re made to feel right at home. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with breathtaking views. The location of the inn is only minutes from historical downtown that boast many fine restaurants and shops.

My favorite part is waking up to one of the best home cooked breakfasts in Vermont. 5 stars all the way!"

Charming Inn

"Our stay at the High Hill Inn was lovely. Our hosts Ann Marie and Joe were warm and welcoming. The rooms are clean and well kept and very comfortable. Ann Marie and Joe were so helpful when it came to making suggestions of where we should eat at supper time and where we should visit and gave us clear directions to get us around an area we were not familiar with.

Breakfast was a homemade hearty meal and the conversation while sipping delightful coffee was also enjoyable. We highly recommend staying at the Inn if you’re looking to get away while feeling like your at “home”"

A Business Getaway.

"This was our fourth stay with Joe and Ann-Marie Dixon. When we arrive, it’s as if we are visiting family... warm, comfortable and inviting. The Inn is a wonderful mixture of farmhouse and country manor. The views are magnificent!

Cookies & coffee are always waiting on the kitchen counter as well as chocolate on our dresser. The breakfasts are greatly anticipated each morning ... organic eggs, luscious bacon, spiced sausage patties, thick slices of French Toast with organic maple syrup, spinach and goat cheese omelets, tasty granola with organic yogurt and homemade blueberry compote ... on and on‼️ The conversations at the breakfast table are always interesting and lively.

Joe and Ann-Marie bring an innate talent to their role as Innkeeper. We look forward to many more visits with them and their barnyard Family. A truly Magical Place!"

Wonderful hosts in a spectacular place.

"This is my third time visiting the High Hill Inn. I feel as though I now have 'my' room, which is comfortable, well appointed, and impeccably clean and orderly. Our hosts are delightful; Joe and Anne-Marie do much more than cook up delicious, locally farmed food (eggs from their chickens, fresh bacon, gorgeous bread), they also help you in any way they can: with travel directions, recommendations for restaurants, even health and herbal remedies.

It is a joy to stay with them and I would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone traveling through northern Vermont. It is almost like returning 'home'."

Room tip: If you are two or more, traveling, then try to get the room overlooking the mountain range; your dawns will be spectacular.

Wonderful stay, great hosts, delicious food, and adorable farm animals.

"High Hill Inn is the perfect place to get away and unwind. Nestled in the scenic Green Mountains in Central Vermont, what better place to be. Ann Marie and her husband are wonderful hosts and have a vast amount of knowledge for the area.

Minutes from Montpelier and Stowe, there is no better place to be. The food and kindness that come from the heart really makes this the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of every day life. Close to Montpelier and Stowe, nestled in the mountains of Central Vermont."

This Inn has it all!

"Perfect Vermont Setting: Beautiful rooms, friendly innkeepers, bountiful breakfasts are not uncommon...but add awesome view of VT. mountains, horses and goats grazing on the 50 acre property and competitive room rates... you've got it all. The drive up the hill is well worth it."

Room tip: All rooms are quiet

- Suzanne and Chris Tampa | FL

The most beautiful setting we've ever experienced in a B&B type of Inn.

"Where to start...? First the drive up is incredible and the location is so close to downtown that you can almost coast downhill all the way. You can see the lights of Montpelier at night, which is very charming. The reception from the owners was warm and non invasive and the home is beautiful.

The open concept allows one to feel very comfortable during the visit and at breakfast...no tripping over each other. The rooms are perfect with comfy beds like you'd have at home, TV with a huge selection of channels and great view from whichever room you choose. Breakfast was complete with delicious yogurt with fresh compote and granola followed by locally sourced bacon and fresh eggs along with delicious homemade breads. Our favorite B&B so far in all our travels. A complete bargain!"

Awesome place to stay!

"I LOVED staying at High Hill Inn!!! Everything about it was wonderful. Our room was spacious and beautiful and comfortable with a gorgeous peaceful mountain view. There was a huge two-person tub. The owners could not have been more gracious and fun. Breakfast was delicious every day. There were really good cookies out every evening. I feel like we made new friends. Our stay could not have been better. We will absolutely be back if we have a chance to come to Montpelier."

Room Tip: We stayed in the Mountain View King Room and loved it.
